A large-scale development initiative in Honduras has earmarked the Central American country’s textile industry as a key potential contributor to growth.

Honduras 2020, an initiative that has public- and private-sector backing, says its aims include making the country the biggest exporter of textiles on the American continent.

It intends to achieve this by establishing a high-quality textile industry hub “using Honduras’s world-class talent and cutting-edge knowledge of sustainable textile development”.
