The Honduran Manufacturers Association (AHM) has announced an 8% increase in the minimum wage for those working in the country’s manufacturing industry.

It will bring the minimum monthly wage in the sector to 7,085 Lempiras (just over $300). This will apply to all manufacturing workers in the country, regardless of the size of their employer.

According to AHM, there are currently 344 companies in Honduras dedicated to manufacturing and its connected activities. Of this number, more than 120 specialise in textiles.
