The North Face jacket features heat release technology
22/09/2017
The product, which it has called Ventrix, features laser-cut perforations that can expand to release the wearer’s body heat or contract to keep warmth inside.
The idea of this technology is that when the wearer is moving uphill, expending lots of energy and so releasing lots of body heat, the perforations can open and vent the heat. When they are moving back downhill after a climb, the perforations will close up to keep the wearer warm. This keeps them from ever becoming too warm or too cold.
The Ventrix technology will feature in two jacket styles, one with a hood and one without. They are available in The North Face retail stores and online.
