Italian textile manufacturer Clerici Tessuto presented its first ‘eco-sustainable’ textile collection at the September edition of Première Vision in Paris, featuring organic silk and wool fabrics, as well as “next-generation high-tech fabrics”.

For the high-tech component of the collection, Clerici has chosen EVO yarn from Fulgar, to offer what it calls high-end fabrics that combine “maximum performance with high durability and little impact on the environment”.

EVO by Fulgar is a yarn made from castor oil, from a plant that is easy to grow, is totally renewable, does not require the use of land that can be used to grow food for humans or animals and does not consume large volumes of water.

The yarn makes fabric that is ultra-light, super-stretch, quick drying, breathable, easy to care for and naturally bacteriostatic.

“We are very pleased to have been chosen by Clerici Tessuto as a partner for its innovative, eco-sustainable collection. We hope that this partnership is the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration,” said Fulgar marketing manager, Alan Garosi.
