ISPO expects 300 million winter sports enthusiasts in China
ISPO Beijing will opens its doors on January 24, 2018, marking its fourteenth edition. More than 400 exhibitors and more than 600 brands will take part in the event, which will run until January 27 at the China National Convention Center (CNCC). The venue is fully booked. An extensive conference and supporting program will also be on offer.

With winter sports becoming increasingly popular in China and with Beijing already working hard to prepare to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, this will provide an important focal point for ISPO Beijing 2018. A state-sponsored winter sports programme is driving growth.

At the same time, China is investing heavily in the expansion of its ski resorts and infrastructure. More and more Chinese consumers are embracing the wide range of winter sports disciplines. In the coming years, the number of winter sports enthusiasts in China is expected to rise from around 10 million at present to 300 million, ISPO said in the build-up to the event.
