DSM announces new president for Dyneema business unit

Dutch group DSM has appointed Wilfrid Gambade as the new president of its DSM Dyneema business unit.

Dyneema is DSM’s ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) brand, which the group describes as combining maximum strength and minimum weight, claiming it is 15 times stronger than steel and 40% stronger than aramid fibre on a weight-for-weight basis. Sports and leisure are among the sectors that use Dyneema.

Mr Gambade has worked at DSM since 2009 and has been president of its composite resins business.
