Pentland moves to streamline its operations
Sports and outdoor product group Pentland is preparing to transfer operations related to two of its brands, Canterbury and Mitre, to an existing facility in Nottingham, UK.

The move is part of the group’s efforts to streamline its structure following a corporate reorganisation. It will bring more of Pentland’s Active brands under the same roof.

Nottingham has served as the home of its Speedo swimwear brand since 1990. The company is now recruiting up to 100 new staff there across a range of roles, including sales, marketing and product innovation, in preparation for the relocation of the Canterbury and Mitre brands from their current sites in Stockport and Wakefield.

Sean Hastings, Pentland’s global marketing director, has said: “These developments will help us to better manage our brands and opens up a broader range of career opportunities for our teams to work across multiple brands and projects.”

Canterbury, one of the brands being relocated to Nottingham, mainly focuses on rugby-related products and provides kit for a number of teams, including the England national team (credit: Canterbury).
