Billabong acquisition complete

Sports apparel and equipment group Boardriders has completed its acquisition of Australian brand Billabong.

Together the two businesses have combined to form a group that has 7,000 wholesale customers in 110 countries, 630 stores in 28 countries and e-commerce capability in 35 countries.

Boardriders chief executive said completion of the acquisition marked a turning point in the group’s history, but he said the integration of the companies will be “a multi-year process”.
