Wider range of products to have Gore-Tex Infinium from this autumn

Gore Fabrics Division has announced that, from autumn 2018 onwards, an expanded array of jackets, footwear and gloves will come onto the market under its Gore-Tex Infinium brand.

Global head of marketing for the Fabrics Division, Christian Langer, has said these products will deliver “the highest performance for specific end uses”. He said the benefits will “extend beyond the waterproof category”.

Amongst the technologies of which it will make extensive use in these products is Infinium Thermium, which is insulated product technology specifically for footwear. Gore has described it as “an extremely low-profile, highly effective insulation that is thin enough that it can be used in everyday footwear”. It is applied only where needed, in the toe area of a shoe.
