Salomon appoints ex-skier to Americas role

Salomon has announced that Robert Lazzaroni will take over as head of its nordic ski business in the Americas on August 27. In this role, he will be responsible for the division’s business in the US, Canada and Latin America. 

“Robert is a proven leader, with more than two decades of experience. His track record is unrivalled. He brings a dynamic energy to Salomon in a new role that spans the continental markets, leading the commercial strategy in the Americas,” said Mike Adams, vice president of winter sports equipment at Amer Sports, Salomon’s parent company. 

Mr Lazzaroni’s most recent role was as nordic domestic programme director for US Ski and Snowboard, a national sporting body. Prior to that he held product development, sales and marketing roles at Rossignol. 

He is also a former member of the French ski team and a former coach with the French ski federation.
