REI continues its support for National Scenic Trails

This designation is given to protected areas in the country that are deemed to have particular natural beauty. They also offer ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. There are 11 of them in the US.
“Many of these trails offer direct access to outdoor recreation in some of the most scenic parts of the country,” said Taldi Walter, REI community and government affairs manager. “By supporting projects to improve access and invest in their future, we’re working to make sure these trails can be enjoyed by generations to come.”
REI has been supporting conservation efforts related to the National Scenic Trails for more than 20 years. Since 2002, it has invested nearly $3 million to this end.
