Investment firm launches new parent group for textile assets

Beverly Hills-based investment firm Platinum Equity has launched a new textile industry group called Elevate, under which it will group fabric manufacturers Burlington, Safety Components and Cone Denim, and thread manufacturers American & Efird and Gu¨termann.

Elevate Textiles replaces the International Textile Group (ITG), which Platinum Equity acquired in 2016. The investment firm then acquired American & Efird in 2018.

The group now has a global footprint that includes 37 facilities and more than 15,000 employees around the way.
