Worsted spun merino yarns get stretchier

27/01/2020
A new line from Raeford Uniform Fabrics is said to offer improved stretch and “the ability to matrix durable technical finishes not previously available in the dress uniform market”.

According to the company, Raeflex fabrics combines enhanced stretch yarns with blended worsted spun merino wool yarns, allowing 200 to 400 percent more stretch than traditional uniform fabrics. The fabrics also have proprietary Moisture Control System for advanced wicking and moisture management, which was developed by Raeford’s parent company’s in-house R&D incubator, Burlington Labs.

The line will primarily be produced at the company’s Casimires Plant, located in Yecapixtla, Morelos, Mexico.
