ZDHC holds events in Latin America and South Asia

The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) programme, which is working to encourage brands, manufacturers and their suppliers to remove hazardous chemicals from the textile supply chain, has held its first manufacturers’ forum in Latin America.

It ran this first event in Mexico City at the end of February, attracting companies from El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, as well as from the host country.

This came only a couple of weeks after ZDHC’s first regional conference in South Asia, which attracted nearly 300 delegates from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and the Confederation of the Indian Textile Industry, the Asia Dyestuff Industries Federation, and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry were among the organisations taking part.
