The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) foundation has added a further five companies to its list of contributors, bringing the overall number to nearly 150.

Three of the new contributors are related to the textile industry. All have joined in the ‘value chain affiliate ‘ category. They are:

Indian textile dye manufacturer Colourtex Industries, which also makes dying chemicals for the leather industry;
Brazil-based weaver Covolan Textil, which since 2000 has focused its efforts exclusively on the denim sector;
Italian fashion design and printing technology specialist Ratti, which produces printed, plain, yarn-dyed and jacquard fabrics for clothing, neckwear, shirts, beachwear and home décor.

The other two companies in this latest ZDHC intake are French luxury group LVMH and Italian leather chemicals manufacturer Samia.
