Six new companies sign up for ZDHC programme

The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation has welcomed six new contributors to its programme, which aims to achieve zero discharge of hazardous chemicals in the textile and footwear value chain.

UK based fashion retailer ASOS has joined as a signatory brand.

The other six new members join as value chain affiliates. They are:

• Meghmani Dyes and Intermediates, an Indian manufacturer of intermediates;
• Denim Expert Limited, a Bangladesh-based denim producer;
• Eastman Exports Global Clothing, a manufacturer of knitted apparel based in India;
• Sateri, a producer of viscose that operates three mills in China;
• Sustainable Textile Solutions (STS), a solution provider with expertise in dyes and chemicals, and in wet processing production techniques.
