Thousands of chemicals added to ZDHC ‘gateway’

Dyes and chemicals maker Archroma has uploaded a first batch of more than 1,000 products on the Chemical Module of the ZDHC Gateway, following its signing up to the ZDHC Foundation as a contributor.

The Gateway is an online search tool that enables stakeholders in the textile value chain to evaluate the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substance List conformance level of chemical formulations used in their production processes.

Additionally, after initially agreeing to work together on methodology and criteria, Bluesign is adding more than 12,000 chemicals to the Gateway.

This will include chemicals from more than 190 chemical suppliers, including the leading chemical companies of the Global Chemical Industry Round Table (GCIRT).

Archroma is among a group of chemical companies that are supporting the MRSL and the related “pyramid” conformity system designed to eliminate duplicative approaches.
