LL Bean sets its sights on the Canadian market

23/07/2019
Outdoor brand LL Bean will launch its first store in Canada in August. It will be located in the Oakville Place shopping centre, located just outside Toronto in the province of Ontario.

This venture is taking place in collaboration with Jaytex Group, a Canadian distributor of branded outerwear and apparel.

It is the latest stage of LL Bean’s efforts to expand its footprint in the country. Earlier this year it launched a Canada-only version of its catalogue to go alongside a Canada-specific website rolled out at the end of 2018. A curated selection of its apparel and gear will also be sold in shop-in-shops to be set up in various stores run by Canadian retailer Hudson’s Bay.

“We’ve had a long, meaningful relationship with Canadian customers for decades, so we’re thrilled to be able to give our loyal Canadian fans a true comprehensive, omnichannel LL Bean experience, with a dedicated web site, Canadian catalogues, and now LL Bean retail stores,” said Stephen Smith, president and CEO of LL Bean.
