Merino’s qualities enhance running tights collection
California-based merino wool apparel brand Ridge Merino has released a new collection of tights for women made using a new compression version of Polartec’s Power Wool fabric.

The fabric features a bi-component knit design that places only merino wool next to the skin and synthetic fibres on the outside.

Polartec says the merino wool is naturally comfortable next to the skin, feeling cool in warm conditions, and warm in cool conditions, moving moisture away from the body and being naturally antimicrobial. The plated synthetic yarns on the outside improve durability, shape-retention, and drying-time.
