Archroma acquires BASF's stilbene-based OBA business

Textile chemicals manufacturer Archroma has acquired a stilbene-based optical brightening agents (OBA) business from chemicals group BASF. 

With the acquisition of the OBA business, which is for paper and powder detergent applications, Archroma is expanding both its global supply capacity and application markets, particularly in India and Asia.

The company plans to develop its support to the global detergents market, strengthening its offerings with manufacturers and brands in the textile industry.
