Performance Days moves Munich dates but will go ahead

Specialist exhibition for fabric innovations for sportswear, workwear and athleisure Performance Days will go ahead in Munich later this year, but is moving to new dates, December 9 and 10.

The organisers had planned to run the event in October, having already cancelled the April edition. Trade fairs can start again in Bavaria in September, the authorities there have said. But, with so many companies in the technical textiles value chain only now beginning to recover after their businesses were brought to a standstill by covid-19, the Performance Days team decided that choosing a later date and, therefore, allowing exhibitors and visitors extra time to prepare would be welcome.

They said this extra time will also give the team at the venue, Messe München, a chance to fine-tune the new safety and hygiene measures.

Performance Days general manager, Marco Weichert, said work would continue on preparations for the December event and also on digital solutions to help suppliers and customers stay in contact before, during and after the fair.
