Timberland’s London flagship awarded store of the year
Global trade association Shop! has given a Gold Design award to Timberland’s Carnaby Street flagship store in London; it also named the 2,600 square-foot space Store of the Year.
The design award, according to Timberland, celebrates achievements in areas such as new store design, renovations, fixtures, visual presentation projects and in-store communications.
The London location was among several new “purpose-led place” stores the company opened last year in cities including New York, London, Philadelphia and Shanghai. The stores present the brand’s latest footwear and apparel collections among living trees, a full-height living green wall, and stories that spotlight Timberland’s work in sustainable innovation.
“In today’s highly digital world, there is still an important role for physical, tangible experiences to engage consumers and bring your brand’s story to life,” said Bevan Bloemendaal, vice president global environments for Timberland.
Timberland said it has plans to open or remodel stores throughout North America, EMEA and APAC with the new environment.
