Texon publishes inaugural sustainability report

Footwear industry materials solutions provider Texon has today published its first annual sustainability report, highlighting progress toward sustainability goals that the company had announced previously.
In the report, Texon reaffirmed its ambition to become a zero-waste business by 2025.

It said it had achieved a 114% increase in the use of recycled materials since 2015. It has invested €1 million in equipment for taking recycled fibre from additional sources. Over the same timeframe, it has reduced by 43% its energy consumption.
