Texon: pandemic didn’t dampen innovation
Footwear component supplier Texon says the pandemic hasn’t slowed research and development as it prepares to showcase its latest products at trade fairs including Lineapelle this September.

Technologies under the spotlight will include Texon’s ProWeave jacquard weaving technology and a range of structural component products that have been re-engineered to make them more eco-friendly, with boosted recycled content.

ProWeave delivers zonal, multi-directional stretch, which provides stronger and enhanced structural support as well as greater creativity in footwear design, it said.

Bryan Whitfield, sales director at Texon, said: “Over the last 18 months, our sales team has been working closely – albeit virtually – with customers to showcase our range of high performing, sustainable products.

“With a range of re-engineered products to promote alongside ProWeave, we have an exciting few months ahead of us out on the road – discussing the changes we’ve made to our materials and how these can help our customers meet their own product development and sustainability objectives.”
