Puma appoints new general manager of distribution, EEMEA

Puma has promoted Johan Kuhlo from his role as head of corporate strategy and investor relations to general manager of distribution, EEMEA (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa). Mr Kuhlo will be based in the company’s regional hub in Salzburg and report directly to Arne Freundt, general manager EMEA.

According to the company, he has “played an integral part in defining more effective organisational setups, managing the spin-off from Kering in 2018 and, most recently, coordinating the company’s crisis management in response to the covid-19 pandemic”. Before joining Puma five years ago, Mr Kuhlo was a project leader at the Boston Consulting Group; prior to that, he worked in marketing and sales at L’Oréal.

Moritz Schneidmüller, teamhead global go-to-market strategy, will take over the role of head of corporate strategy. Mr Schneidmüller has been with Puma since 2011, holding roles in corporate strategy, project management and other positions within Cobra Puma golf, global eCom and global go-to-market. He will report directly to Puma CEO Bjørn Gulden.
