ISPO Munich 2021 will be online only
The organisers of the ISPO exhibitions have had a further change of mind regarding their 2021 Munich event.
In early October Messe München announced that the exhibition, which will run from February 1-5, would be “a hybrid event”, with some visitors attending in person and others viewing new collections and materials online.
On October 26, however, Messe München issued a follow-up statement saying ISPO Munich 2021 would be online only.
It said that the coronavirus pandemic meant that the safe execution of a hybrid event was impossible.
Chief executive, Klaus Dittrich, said moving to a completely digital event was “a logical step”. He said that moving online would give visitors everywhere, including end consumers, equal access to ISPO content. He added that this content would include “digital industry discussions of the highest calibre”.
