Nine new Chinese textile and footwear standards

China approved nine new national standards regarding textiles and footwear in late October, all of which will be implemented on May 1, 2021.  

Among these, GB/T4146.1-2020 (known as ‘Textile chemical fibre part 1’) will replace the older GB/T4146.1-2009 and GB/T18885-2020 (‘Technical requirements for eco-textiles') will take the place of GB/T18885-2009.  

GB/T3903.13-2020 (‘Footwear test methods for outsoles - dimensional stability’) will replace the earlier GB/T3903.13-2005, while GB/T3903.26-2020 (‘Footwear main heel and toe cap test method – adhesion performance) will replace GB/T3903.26-2008.
