Taiwanese textiles and yarns group Far Eastern New Century (FENC) has appointed a chief operating officer to boost the growth of its textiles business.

MJ Wu will be in charge of the tech textiles and spun yarn divisions.

Eric Wu, the president of the textiles division, has retired, although he will continue to assist the chairman. His replacement will be announced in due course.

FENC is a major supplier to sportswear brands and specialises in recycled polyester.
