Revenue growth for Li-Ning, despite 2020 challenges

Sports group Li-Ning achieved revenues of around $2.25 billion in 2020, an increase of 4.2% compared to the previous year. It said it had achieved this growth in spite of the “very challenging retail environment” that has resulted from the covid-19 pandemic.

It said 51% of revenues had come from sales of apparel, while 43.8% came from footwear and 5.2% from equipment and accessories. The share for each category was almost the same as in 2019.

Sales in China accounted for 98.5% of Li-Ning’s revenues. E-commerce accounted for 28% of the total, up from 22.5% a year earlier.
