Thermore’s Ecodown Fibers Genius becomes even warmer after washing

Italian insulation provider Thermore has explained the construction of its Ecodown Fibers Genius allows the fibres to intertwine, creating an even layer of insulation for clothing that becomes up to 10% warmer after washing. 

Thermore researchers defined it a hybrid between free fibres and rolled insulation, bridging the gap between the two.

The product, which Thermore describes as “the Swiss army knife of free fibre products”, can be blown in baffles, panels and hand stuffed, and is mostly made using polyester fibres recycled from PET bottles.
