Kathmandu to launch in Europe and Canada as group revenues grow

Outdoor group Kathmandu Holdings has reported revenues of just over US $650 million in the 12 months ending July 31.

The New Zealand-based group, whose brands include surf brand Rip Curl, outdoor clothing brand Kathmandu and hiking footwear brand Oboz, said this figure represented growth of 15% year on year.

Chief executive, Michael Daly, said the group would focus on building a global presence for each of its brands in the current fiscal year and on “leveraging digital capabilities”. As part of this, he said Kathmandu, a popular outdoor clothing brand in Australasia would be launching in Europe and in Canada.
