Canadian technical outdoor brand Arc’teryx has named Chris Pelyk to the role of vice president of store development, effective immediately.

Himself a native of Canada, Mr Pelyk was formerly senior director of store development in Asia at fellow Canadian company Lululemon. He also previously oversaw strategic real estate and retail store concepts for Apple, adidas and Fossil across Asia.

In his new position, Mr Pelyk will spearhead the design, construction and global expansion of Arc’teryx retail stores, of which the business currently operates more than 115 own-branded stores.

Chief commercial director at Arc’teryx, Delaney Schweitzer, commented on the appointment: “Chris’ expertise will be invaluable as we extend our retail store footprint in support of our vertical future, ensuring we get the best location at the right time in strategic markets.”

Mr Pelyk added that he is looking forward to helping Arc’teryx “continue to spread its wings globally”.
