Arc’teryx’s Rebird concept takes off
Doors opened recently to Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx’s first hybrid store footprint at its Broadway location in New York City, complete with a section dedicated to its eco-minded Rebird service centre concept.
Whereas the retail space will offer both used gear and articles created using recycled materials, the Rebird area will function as a location for in-store repairs, product care and education (including Gore-Tex leak testing and in-house technical washes).
The brand’s vice president of recommerce, Dominique Showers, said: “Having a space for guests to experience Rebird in person is so exciting for the passionate people working hard behind the scenes to make this programme a reality.
“The service centre makes it easy for guests to learn about proper product care, get assessments and repairs done on the spot and find refurbished used gear and Rebird products alongside our retail offerings.”
A programme of community events is set to run in-store to mark the opening.
