Sustainability-focused hub Fashion for Good, which coordinates mentoring and funding for start-ups, has chosen seven new participants in its 2022 Asia Innovation Programme.

Candidate companies presented their ideas at an event in Mumbai and chose the seven of them to take part in the nine-month programme.

The new partners are AN Herbals, Fermentech Labs, Sodhani Biotech and UKHI Hemp Foundation from India, Picvisa from Spain, Gaiacel from the US and Vaayu from Germany.

This is the third programme of this kind that Fashion For Good has set up. Its head of expansion in Asia, Priyanka Khanna, said it would provide the start-ups with a platform to learn and grow, and to connect with some of the leading industry players that support the hub’s work.

The focus of the new partners includes dyeing, textile sorting for recycling and technology for carbon footprint reduction.
