Swiss outdoor brand Mammut has announced Heiko Schäfer as its new chief executive. He will take up the role on September 1, arriving fashion brand Hugo Boss, where he is chief operating officer. Earlier in his career, he held a number of senior roles at adidas.

At the time of the announcement, Mr Schäfer described Mammut as “the most iconic outdoor brand in Europe” and said his aim was to unlock its full potential, making it “even more desirable and accessible to mountain sports enthusiasts”.
