Off-the-pitch shoe for women footballers

British-Jamaican designer Martine Rose has worked with Nike on a new shoe specifically for women footballers to wear off the pitch.
The shoe, a version of the Shox R4, which Nike introduced in 2000, is called the Nike x Martine Rose Shox Mule MR4. It will launch on July 7 to coincide with the start of the 2022 UEFA European Women’s Championship, which takes place in England.
“We recognised a great opportunity to focus on women and football and and then make a trainer that is almost like a smart shoe,” Martine Rose said on presenting the shoe.
Her design pulls the Shox R4 into a new mule shape, Nike said.
