Jordan Brand celebrates 25 years in China

To mark 25 years since it officially entered the Chinese market back in 1997, Nike’s Jordan Brand has revealed a celebratory take on the Air Jordan 12 Low basketball shoe model.

Otherwise monochromatic, the footwear embraces the occasion with iridescent mudguards. An inscription at the right heel (pictured) also bears the inscription: “Celebrating 25 years of Jordan in China”. The design is expected to retail from August, according to reports.

Back in 2021, Jordan Brand won a trademark infringement case against a Fujian-based company, now known as Zhongqiao Sports, in a Shanghai court following over a decade of legal proceedings. The Chinese brand, formerly known as Qiaodan (ie, “Jordan”) Sports was ordered to pay US basketball legend Michael Jordan around $45,000 or ¥300,000.
