Chinese sports group Anta has entered into an agreement with the developers behind smartphone application Huawei Health, local media have reported.

The app enables users to track their activity across more than 100 sporting pursuits, manage multiple smart wearable devices and share their health and wellness data with communities.

During the group's recent innovation and technology conference, streamed live via Chinese social media platform Weibo, the benefits of integrating Huawei Health’s own technology for the company were highlighted. After over three years of research, plus 1,800 lab tests, the Anta brand’s latest Olympic Champion shoes were jointly found to boost performance by 26%, due to their cushioning, as well as improve stability by 23%, for example.

Huawei’s activity-tracking intelligent S-Tag, released globally earlier this year, reportedly supported the findings.

Moving forward, both parties will work together to harness technology to continuously improve product performance, Anta said, as well as develop new running equipment and produce scientifically backed professional running guidance.
