Spatial Labs experiments with smart tags
Spatial Labs, a fashion tech company founded by Iddris Sandu, has launched a new digital platform and collection as it opens its first retail space in Culver City, California. Products in the company’s range of smart basics, called Core, are equipped with NFC tags which connect each product and buyer to a digital platform known as Circle.

The Tag technology is said to allow users to unlock personalised content at the tap of a finger and share experiences with others in real-time. This, the company said, is a more direct and personal way of interacting. The physical/digital experience is fully embedded in the brand’s first store, which will be followed by other openings in the United States.

“With the opening of our first retail store in Culver City, we are proud to bring this experience to life, offering a tangible glimpse into the future of interaction, personalisation, and connection,” the company said. “At Spatial Labs, we believe that innovation should begin with the items we use most—our clothing, our accessories, the essentials we interact with every day.”
