Intertextile Shanghai and Yarn Expo postponed
The autumn editions of trade fairs Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics (Intertextile Shanghai) and Yarn Expo have been postponed, owing to the evolving pandemic situation in Shanghai, organisers said.
Co-organiser Messe Frankfurt (HK)’s senior general manager, Wendy Wen, commented that the decision was made in support of the Chinese government’s covid-19 control measures.
“I would like to express our thanks to all participants for their continued understanding and support. We look forward to providing an effective sourcing platform for the textile industry,” Ms Wen added.
Intertextile Shanghai is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK), China’s Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT) and state-owned research institution China Textile Information Center. The show’s dedicated Functional Lab, Premium Wool Zone and Digital Printing Zone areas cater to the sports, outdoor and technical textiles industries, alongside spaces devoted to trimmings and accessories, denim and sustainability.
Yarn Expo, meanwhile, is coordinated by Messe Frankfurt (HK) and CCPIT.
Both shows will still take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, but will instead run from October 21 through 23.
