OutDoor by ISPO reassesses venue plans
Trade show OutDoor by ISPO will again be based out of Munich Order Center (MOC) in 2023, before returning to organiser Messe München’s Munich-Riem conference venue in 2024 and 2025.
The dates of next year’s event are June 4-6, followed by June 3-5 in 2024 and May 19-21 in 2025. This continual progression towards an earlier date is in line with the scheduling of OutDoor by ISPO moving forward, as revealed last November.
Though more efficient use of space at the MOC was identified as an area of potential improvement by attendees of the show’s most recent edition, which took place this past June, executive director of Messe München’s consumer goods business unit, Tobias Gröber, said that most partners and exhibitors had been positive about staging the event at the MOC once more.
President of industry representative body the European Outdoor Group (EOG), Mark Held, offered similarly enthusiastic feedback about the June event.
“The recent OutDoor by ISPO at the MOC made it absolutely clear that nothing can truly replace meeting in person,” Mr Held said. “When we come together as an outdoor community to discuss global trends, show new products, highlight research and corporate social responsibility initiatives or for networking and socialising, there is nothing as effective or efficient over a few short days.”
Details for booking space at the MOC for next year’s show will become available at the end of August.
