Footwear group Deckers Brands has appointed Anne Spangenberg as president of its fashion-lifestyle division, which includes Ugg and Koolaburra by Ugg.

Ms Spangenberg joins Deckers after 13 years in merchandising roles at Nike. She was most recently global vice president of merchandising for the sports brand.

Deckers chief executive, Dave Powers, said the Ugg brand was in its strongest position ever and would be further bolstered by the appointment of Anne Spangenberg.
