Registrations open for the 2023 Woolmark Performance Challenge
The Woolmark Company has opened registrations for the 2023 edition of its Performance Challenge competition, which is open to design students in tertiary-level institutions across the world.
Its challenge to the students is to create “the next generation of apparel for sport” by harnessing the natural performance properties of Australian merino wool.
For the 2023 edition, Woolmark’s competition partner will be the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team.
Prizes on offer to the winners include an internship with the Prada style department, which will go to the entry which most closely meets the category brief, which Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will supply when the competition gets fully under way.
There will also be a research bursary cash prize of €10,000 for the research-led proposal with the greatest potential for development. A second €10,000 cash prize will be awarded to the institution that is judged to have encouraged the highest number of quality student submissions.
