Athletic footwear brand ASICS has renewed its partnership with World Triathlon, the international governing body for triathlon.

This new agreement, a renewal of an initial deal from 2018, means the shoe brand will be the sport’s official partner until 2028.

ASICS said World Triathlon wanted to extend the relationship because the Japanese company had shown a strong commitment to promote and develop triathlon globally.

World Triathlon president, Marisol Casado, said the extension would allow the organisation to expand its reach and “bring a bright future to the sport”.
