Founder prepares to visit OrthoLite’s Cirql division in Vietnam
Founder of open-cell foam technology developer OrthoLite, Glenn Barrett, has said he is excited at the prospect of visiting the headquarters of the company’s Cirql division in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam in the coming weeks.
Cirql, a technology that OrthoLite presents as the first chemicals-free, plant-based foam for use in footwear manufacturing, will celebrate its first anniversary in March. Mr Barrett said covid-19 restrictions had made it difficult for him to visit the Cirql plant in Vietnam until now.
Speaking to sportstextiles at Lineapelle in Milan on February 21, he said he was excited about the future that lies ahead for materials that help take the footwear industry along the path towards the circular economy. He said: “There is no going back; the only road is forward.”
