Archroma rejigs textile division following acquisition
01/03/2023
The deal, first announced last August, will bring roughly 2,300 employees from 33 countries and ten global production facilities under the aegis of Switzerland-based Archroma, taking the latter’s total number of employees to more than 5,000, working across 42 countries and 35 manufacturing sites.
Notably, Huntsman Textile Effects and Archroma’s Brand and Performance Textile Specialities business will now be combined under the one division, Archroma Textile Effects, to be led by former Huntsman Textile Effects president Rohit Aggarwal (pictured).
Mr Aggarwal has been named divisional president and chief executive of Archroma Textile Effects, in addition to president of the broader group’s Asian business.
“I am very excited to see our two leading teams unite,” the new divisional president commented. “We share the same passion for innovation and the same vision for a more efficient and sustainable textile and apparel sector. At this critical time for our industry, we have a unique opportunity to step up as champions of transformation.”
