Fibres and fabrics group Invista has appointed Ruud Vermeij as the new European business development manager for its Cordura durable fabrics brand.

In this role, he will take responsibility for developing and executing a strategy for growing Cordura’s business in all segments of the market in Europe, including outdoor apparel and workwear. He will also seek to establish Cordura in new applications.

Based in Amsterdam, Ruud Vermeij has recently worked as a consultant on a variety of apparel and sporting goods projects. Earlier in his career he was general manager of clothing and headwear manufacturer Brixton Europe and held country manager roles in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg for footwear brand Vans.
