Carbitex bolsters ranks ahead of ‘next phase’

US carbon fibre composites supplier Carbitex has made two key hires as it moves to strengthen strategic brand relationships and position itself for accelerated global growth.

The materials brand hopes that thenaming of Milan-based footwear industry veteran Filippo Sartor to vice-president of global sales and Sam Gardner’s appointment to vice-president of engineering and operations will “catalyse the next phase” in its development, it said. Like Carbitex, Mr Gardner is himself based in Washington state.

Mr Sartor most recently spent close to 11 years as global senior sales manager at JV International, which holds the official licence for Soles by Michelin worldwide.

“I am extremely proud to jointo join the Carbitex team and see huge growth potential, thanks to a dynamic group of people dedicated to enhancing technical benefits in the footwear market,” Mr Sartor commented.

“My experience growing a diverse range of technical and lifestyle footwear brands, combined with the expertise of the team, will help us create new solutions for the most demanding partner needs.

“I look forward to building Carbitex’s global presence and supporting the many existing brand partners.”
