Sports brand adidas has celebrated its seventy-fifth birthday. Founder, Adi Dassler launched the company on August 18, 1949.

This followed the famous split between his older brother Rudolf and him, with Rudolf going on to set up Puma.

Adidas started in Herzogenarauch in Bavaria with 47 employees. Today, 60,000 people work at the group and its revenues in 2023 were €21.4 billion.
