Sports group Decathlon has announced a change in its winter sports offering.

It will bring its offering for skiing, snow-boarding and sledging under the name of its Quechua brand, and will stop using the brand name Wedze for these products.

It said its Wedze development teams would continue to put their knowledge and experience into winter sports products, but under the Quechua banner. Decathlon said it would make these changes gradually.

The group said that this transition would make Quechua a brand that “responds all year round to the needs of lovers of activity in the mountains”.

Quechua has a broad range of products for trekking and camping enthusiasts to use in summer. Now it will also have products for winter sports too.
